Unlocking Imaginations. Opening Fairy Doorz.

Do you believe in fairies?

We do here at Five Little Stars. And we welcome them into our homes.

But how would they get in.....

With a Fairy Doorz of course!

"Believe and the magic will follow"!

There is a very lovely company in the UK called Fairy Doorz who sent Alison and I some absolutely beautiful doors and accessories so we could welcome magic into our homes. They even sent us sparkly wishes too - how nice is that.

I have liked the idea of having a proper fairy door for my children for a while now. The Christmas Elf last year enchanted my son, so we made a cardboard door wrapped in silver foil for ease of magical access.... but needless to say, my craft attempts were neither attractive nor durable.

So, since then I have been looking for a quality miniature door to keep the fun alive. When you are buying something online, it is so hard to tell whether the quality is going to be good or not. So if you too are looking, or love the idea, then rest assured that we have found our Fairy Doorz to be spot on. They are made from quality pieces of wood and measure approximately 8cm tall and 10 cm in length.

Alison loves the simplicity of her children's door, just perfect for their cottage garden. She's saving the fairy dust for when the Tooth Fairy first visits 😍

There is a lovely range available, something for everyone. Alison and I chose the doors that we thought our little ones would enjoy the most - that meant the Pink Sherbet Dotty door for Alison and the Ruby Red Dotty door for me (oops, I mean for our children - he he!). We got some beautiful accessories too. I also used the free naming service. I asked my children what would be the best name for a fairy - my daughter said Capucine (after a little friend of hers), and an elf - my son said Bob (... I genuinely have no idea why!!), and these names have appeared on the door as if by magic :o) You can print off certificates from the website too if you like. So sweet!

But it's not just doors. And not just for fairies. Don't forget the elves and pixies. And they have Adventure Doorz; with Superheroes, Dinosaurs and Pirates!! There are Santa Doorz and Tooth Fairy Doorz, and even a door for the Dummy Fairy. The icing on the cake is the most adorable range of accessories imaginable; from windows and postboxes, to bells, doormats, toadstools and fairy dust. Too Cute!

When I was a child my Dad wrote the teeney tiniest notes from the Tooth Fairy when she took our teeth away (to build an extension on her castle!). He must have used a magnifying glass and v sharp pencil to write them. We needed a magnifying glass to read them. Fairies are miniscule afterall! Such a cute idea x

To bring your Fairy Doorz to life even more vividly, and feed those hungry imaginations, you can also buy a beautiful little book called "Sophie Finds a Fairy Door". It really is delightful; my daughter loves the stars that are on almost every double page spread, and my son thinks the teacup train is awesome (he made a teacup train with his toy kitchen bits the other day!).

Five Little Stars really loves supporting small businesses; especially ones with such a beautiful vision as this one, and those who execute that vision to perfection. We would love if you took inspiration from us and supported them too. We think these doors would make a gorgeous Birthday or Christmas present for any child with a sparkly and fun imagination.

Almost all of the Doorz cost £10, plus postage, and there are some lovely gift sets available with the book and other accessories. Fairy Doorz deliver worldwide. You can email them at  info@fairydoorz.co.uk with details of your wish list to find out what postage would be. Take a look at the Fairy Doorz website here and have fun letting your imagination run wild. Not just for the kids hey!!
